It is also a good idea to check to see if your state requires any licensing. A license would be for an insurance adjustor's license. This is not difficult to get or costlly, so I understand. It could be handled through your local or state agency. If there is a charge to register in your state this type of business fee should be very small. It would be similar when a real estate broker, teacher, engineer, and babysitting would apply.

The following is the list of States requiring claims assistance professionals to be licensed. They have renamed the agency from State Insurance Commissioner to "Office of Financial Services."

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont.

Testimonial from a consulting client >

"Being a career military man, hospitalization and health insurance were no consideration while I was on active duty. For 13 years after military retirement, I paid premiums on civilian health coverage, but never had to use it. But when ill health hit, it was truly catastrophic. Four months in the hospital followed by two months outpatient therapy plus continued extensive tests, medicines, braces, wheelchairs, and doctor visits, the bills mounted fast.

Baffled by the paperwork claim forms, my wife and I turned everything over to Insured Consultants, Inc. Best move we ever made!

First off, Insured Consultants, Inc. cared about our problems and us. Secondly, they knew the insurance procedures, who to contact, and the proper questions to ask hospitals, physicians and insurers. And question, they did! Insured Consultants, Inc. saved us a very large sum of monies by knowing exactly what to do. These savings were far in excess of the fees that we paid for their services. Although, I hope to never have need for such extensive assistance regarding health care coverage in the future, Insured Consultants, Inc. will get my business if that need should arise."
